This will cause the cell voltage to drop and cause heat to build up within the cell. It also means that your battery will die on its own, even with no load connected to it. So if you see dented cells in a bad battery, it's kind of a good thing. It means that that’s more than likely the only problem and the rest of the cells are good. Don’t just go on looks, though. You should always use a multimeter to check the voltage of any questionable cells.
Frequent and unexpected shutdown is another symptom of your iPhone battery not performing to its optimum state and needs replacement. Many times, iPhone will shutdown and show a low battery sign when putting on charging even the battery is charged 90% or above. Now, this may happen even if battery health is more than 80% and there is no “Important Battery Message” displayed under the Battery Health section.

Needing to press on the gas pedal to start: If you need to step on the gas to start your car, there is most likely a problem with your battery.
2. Replenishment: For the electric vehicle lithium battery, the battery is replenished with water for about 4 months, which can prolong the service life of the battery and extend the average time to more than 3 months. It should be noted that after each replenishment, the battery is in an overcharged state to change the battery from a "pre-lean liquid" to a "lean liquid" state, and this over-charging is beneficial to increase the battery capacity.

Wearing gloves and eye goggles for protection, mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda into 1 quart of water and stir well. Expect the mixture to bubble and fizz where the baking soda and battery acid come in contact with each other.

After a visual inspection to make sure there are no burns anywhere, check to make sure the voltage of the battery is within spec. Also, check to make sure it's holding a charge by checking its voltage with a multimeter right after you charge it. Another thing you can do is feel the battery to see if any particular spot is producing more heat than other areas of the battery pack. If after doing those things you feel like your battery might be bad, then you will have to tear it down enough to be able to measure the voltage of each cell group. Find the group or groups that have a lower voltage than the rest of the cells and remove it from the pack. After that, those cells just need to be replaced.
2) They discharge even when they're sitting on the shelf doing nothing. If you run you're drill to the point where it says stop I'm gonna die forever if you keep using me, and then you just throw it in a box, it still keeps discharging. Very soon it will be useless.
