My sony vaio model number VPCEA33EN is showing the battery message as ‘Unknown remaining’. It is not getting charged and as soon as i remove the charger the laptop shuts off. I called up the service center and they said that they can replace it but will cost like 150$ or Rs. 8000 Can the battery be repaired ? Please tell me what to do as i can’t spend that much amount to buy a new battery.
