Hello, I was inquiring about the C7000 series in order to wake up a couple Dell laptop batteries that have resisted taking any charge after being away from the laptop for an extended period of time. I was given the following as part of the response: "Testing Dell Laptop batteries, can however, be a challenge as in many cases they have a protection circuit in the batteries which doesn't allow it to "handshake" or communicate with the analyzer to get the charge going." 1. Is there any reliable way to get around the handshake issue? 2. How do I know which Dell laptop batteries have that problem? 3. I understand it was only the older laptop batteries and not the newer ones that are affected. Is that correct? Thanks, Steve

However, sulfation will eventually begin to occur, which will cause the plates inside the battery to no longer be able to react normally. This will prevent the battery from generating electricity. Luckily, techniques to repair a battery that’s no longer working can often keep it going until you’re able to get a replacement.

Is this the case, or a bug? < > I am not talking about breaking down. I am talking about actual damage, i.e. hit point loss. It is a known bug. You have to reinstall the battery elsewhere or reload your game to be able to repair it. As noted before, it is a bug. However, thx for mentioning it for others. The work around I found for this is to ask your colonists uninstall and reinstall the battery. I just move the battery a tile over, and they seem to repair it automatically after moving.
