Repeat the "pulse" boosting and testing the battery until it will finally be recognized by the charger and you get the green light. Black wire = negative Striped or solid white wire = positive It is very important to not mix the two up. There's a hidden screw under a piece of plastic. You need to pry the plastic off to get at the screw underneath. I used a very thin screwdriver to pry it off. Volts are symbolized by a "V" with one or two straight lines over it on a multimeter so it's that section of the multimeter that you use. The section under the V with the straight line(s). Not the squiggly line. The straight line. Lithium ion batteries need to be "pulse" charged. Which means you hold your wires down for 15 seconds or so, then release them. Then hold them down again. Over and over.

Nick I think you're misunderstanding. It isn't that the battery isn't good, it's the the charger isn't recognizing it. I did these batteries years ago and they're still working just fine. Do they stay charged as long as a new battery? No. They never do. But they still work and complete jobs. ~ karen! Just wondering if you could shhh a bit while the stuff you just explained in your blog gets man-splained but wrongerer back at you.

Having your iPhone’s battery’s Maximum Capacity drop to 80% doesn’t mean that it needs replacing immediately. It still depends largely on your use. Most iPhones with 70-80% battery health can still last you a day if you don’t use them for online streaming or playing games.

Lead acid batteries are one of the oldest rechargeable batteries since 1800s. How do they work? The principle is based on production of electricity by a chemical reaction. The Sulfuric acid in the electrolyte reacts with the Lead oxide (PbO) and Lead (Pb) to form lead sulfate (PbSO4) which is the main culprit behind wearing out of batteries over years. Lead sulfate crystallizes and the battery stops recharging. When the layers of sulfate are deposited, the battery might permanently stop. How do we bring dead batteries back? By desulfation! The reversal of sulfation allows us to extend battery life.
