Hi, is it possible to simply bypass a solid state switch that requires an activation code? What if one solders the positive terminal of the battery pack directly to the positive pin of the connector? In my case I have a 3 cell battery pack from a lenovo netbook, ideapad s10e. It has a 7pin connector. The first pin is the positive and the last (the 7th) is the negative (ground). The individual cells are all new and fully charged (4,2v each). Being connected in series the voltage of the pack is 12.6v. However, the solid state switch cuts off current to the positive pin. What if I connect it directly to the red wire from the battery? Thank you for your time!

Another thing you can do to drastically extend the health of a lithium-ion battery is to never fully charge or discharge it. I have seen advice that said to clean the post and clamp, and then apply a very light cost of dielectric grease on the post and install the clamp. You have to pull it apart. you need to pulse it at a point before the circuit board. the charger clips are after. I just did 3 batteries each for about 1 minute they all revived. I did see a version where someone drilled thru the case at a point where the contacts are rather than dissemble. but I think that would expose the system to moisture.
