There's a hidden screw under a piece of plastic. You need to pry the plastic off to get at the screw underneath. I used a very thin screwdriver to pry it off.

Good ol baking soda, after draining acid out of battery, use it to clean inside if cell area. Then refill with proper epsom salt and distilled water. Of course use correct amounts of both.
