Hi, is it possible to simply bypass a solid state switch that requires an activation code? What if one solders the positive terminal of the battery pack directly to the positive pin of the connector? In my case I have a 3 cell battery pack from a lenovo netbook, ideapad s10e. It has a 7pin connector. The first pin is the positive and the last (the 7th) is the negative (ground). The individual cells are all new and fully charged (4,2v each). Being connected in series the voltage of the pack is 12.6v. However, the solid state switch cuts off current to the positive pin. Revert the wires back to the original position and recharge the battery for additional half an hour. If required, you can also replace the acid inside the battery while mixing new acid with distilled water. Later on, recharge the battery for a few hours, and you get a battery which lasts for a long time.
