You say that you may apply dielectric grease under the clamp. I have seen advice that said to clean the post and clamp, and then apply a very light cost of dielectric grease on the post and install the clamp. Then cover the outside of the clamp and bolt with dielectric grease. Some people say that you should never put grease between the post and the clamp since it is an insulator and will impede the flow of current. Others say that the grease on the post will squeeze out of the high spots where contact is actually made, and fill the low spots to achieve a long life, corrosion free, high capacity connection.

You can begin by going to Apple Support and finding a local Apple service provider near you. Once scheduled, you can drop by the service provider. Depending on the case, they might suggest sending it to Apple Repair Center—the downside is that it may take some time before your device gets returned to you.

Hello, I was inquiring about the C7000 series in order to wake up a couple Dell laptop batteries that have resisted taking any charge after being away from the laptop for an extended period of time. I was given the following as part of the response: "Testing Dell Laptop batteries, can however, be a challenge as in many cases they have a protection circuit in the batteries which doesn't allow it to "handshake" or communicate with the analyzer to get the charge going." 1. Is there any reliable way to get around the handshake issue? 2. How do I know which Dell laptop batteries have that problem? 3. I understand it was only the older laptop batteries and not the newer ones that are affected. Is that correct? Thanks, Steve

I had a relatively new battery in a car that died. The battery (and car) sat for a year, got sulfated and wouldn’t charge. I used a bottle of INOX Battery Conditioner which you can get at many auto shops for about $10. Charged up the battery and it’s still good. As I understand it, the INOX breaks down the sulfides and they go back into solution.

As I said in the post, the batteries are not failed. There's an issue with the charger not being able to read that they're still chargeable. But thanks for your positive and uplifting comment. ~ karen! a technical feature to prevent fire .. and it is true all batteries will fail in time. When a lithium-ion battery’s series cell groups are not in perfect balance, much more stress is placed on the lower cells. This is because as a cell’s voltage is lowered, its internal resistance increases. This means that if you are running a battery with one or more low-cell groups, those low groups are aging faster than the other cells.
If your battery keeps running down, starting slowly or the temperature is impacting how well your car starts, you may have a problem.
