I have replaced the PS for my daughter's Gateway MX-6436 LT, and the MB, as it sometimes charges the battery, sometimes it doesn't. So, if you verify that all the cell groups are good but the battery won’t work, then the BMS more than likely needs to be replaced. Simply find a BMS that supports the number of cell groups in series that the battery you are working on has.
