In my case I have a 3 cell battery pack from a lenovo netbook, ideapad s10e. It has a 7pin connector. The first pin is the positive and the last (the 7th) is the negative (ground). The individual cells are all new and fully charged (4,2v each). Being connected in series the voltage of the pack is 12.6v. However, the solid state switch cuts off current to the positive pin.
