Batery repair
Taking the Repair mode for a spin using a NOCO GENIUS 5, attempting to recover an old battery. This is a follow-up to my previous review of the NOCO GENIUS charger/tender series.
Tasks such as sending a message, downloading files, making calls, opening GIFs, and uploading your latest selfie to Instagram are all potential victims of an aging iPhone battery. If your battery is older, it can cause slow phone performance to occur without Apple’s intervention in the form of throttling. You can avoid this by having your battery replaced right away, the moment you notice it.
We don’t recommend to run your car without a new battery or a decent quality battery. In doing so you are causing to much stress on the alternator which will eventually fail. The end result is a bigger repair bill. We don’t want that for you. Always replace the car battery in time.
Remove the screws holding the battery together. There's a hidden screw under a piece of plastic. You need to pry the plastic off to get at the screw underneath. I used a very thin screwdriver to pry it off.
Hi, is it possible to simply bypass a solid state switch that requires an activation code? What if one solders the positive terminal of the battery pack directly to the positive pin of the connector? In my case I have a 3 cell battery pack from a lenovo netbook, ideapad s10e. It has a 7pin connector. The first pin is the positive and the last (the 7th) is the negative (ground). The individual cells are all new and fully charged (4,2v each). Being connected in series the voltage of the pack is 12.6v. However, the solid state switch cuts off current to the positive pin. What if I connect it directly to the red wire from the battery? Thank you for your time!
If you have an electric vehicle (EV), you won’t need to worry about battery maintenance—aside from charging, of course. EV batteries typically last 10 to 20 years, so unless you keep the same EV for several decades, you likely won’t need to replace your vehicle’s battery.
